I haven't posted in a LONG time and a lot has happened since then, so this is going to be a long one. Well in December Ellie turned 6 months! I have to say that I love this age. She is so much fun to play with and is such a happy little girl. She also has gotten a hang of sleeping which makes me a happy mom. :) When I took her in for her 6 month check-up she was in the 50th percentile for weight (her cheeks make her look a lot chubbier), 90th percentile for height, and 25th for head circumference. Apparently she has a small head. This month she has definitely become Daddy's little girl. We went to AZ for the holidays and she got so attached to Greg. I hate to admit it, but I was a little sad because I took a back seat to Greg. That has never happened. I'm very glad though that she knows now that I'm not the only one who can take care of her. :)
We spent 2 1/2 weeks in Arizona for Christmas and New Years. I had so much fun and loved being able to spend time with friends and family. It was pretty depressing when I left AZ on Monday when it was sunny, clear, and 60 degrees and came back to freezing cold, windy, and snowy Utah! Anyway, Christmas Eve we spent with the Andersens. There of course was a nativity that the little kids reenacted. Ellie was an angel, but she never really got to go on stage. Maybe next year.
Then there was a visit from Old St. Nick himself. I was totally shocked because Ellie LOVES Santa!! If you know her then you know that she is picky when it comes to who is holding her. She's a drama queen already! Every time she was put on Santa's lap she was totally fine with it. She would play with his coat and beard and was totally a happy baby. We will see how she is next year though. :)
This picture was from the Merrill party a few nights before. She loved Santa so much she sat on his lap while other kids came up to talk to him.
Here are most of the Andersen grandkids with Santa. There are 21 (soon to be 22) grandkids 8 and under!
After the party we went to my dad's to spend the night so we could have an early Christmas morning with my family. Ellie needed to go to bed and couldn't wait for everyone to get back, so we opened her jammies before everyone else was there.
Notice how she is sitting up! This is her new trick.
I can't believe how old my little sisters and brother are.
We opened presents with my family and then headed back over to the Andersens for a delicious Christmas breakfast and more fun. Unfortunately, Ellie slept through the Andersen fun, so I didn't get any pictures of that.
I have to throw this picture in because I think it is hilarious. My little niece, Sarah, was so tired from all of the fun activities that she fell asleep while Lindsay was painting her nails. Oh the life of being a girl.
We are back now in Utah trying to get back to normal life. Thank you everyone for letting us spend time with you!
Oh, Ellie had her first "big girl" bath tonight since she can sit up now. She will be 7 months old on Sunday. Stop growing Ellie!!!

sounds like fun!! It always fun to be around family that you don't get to see very often!
So cute. Can you tell me a day we can hang out, and I'll make it work? Ellie's chubby cheeks and dark hair are awesome. Can't wait to squeeze her cheeks.
i love that pic of ellie sittin up by her stocking...cutest smile ever!
Those are the cutest pictures! I love the picture of all of you holding your stockings and the traditional line up at the top of the stairs! I agree with you. I can't believe how old Robert, Annie, and Kyla are. I am so glad we were able to spend time with you guys in AZ it was a lot of fun!!!
So CUTE!!! I love her hair!
Whatever.. I think Ellie really bonded with me!! Minus that one night!! I love that hair.
Ellie looks so cute!!
Sounds like Christmas was great. I can't believe how good Ellie was with Santa! What a cute girl. I still can't get over how cute her hair and cheeks are. I just love her. Let's get together before she starts walking all over too! It's been too long.
Hey girl, cute blog! Notice how I came home and jumped right on it! haha. I need to lay off the blogging obsession. LOVE being your visiting teacher....You're adorable. Gracie and Ellie can be buddies since we live so close! While they play, we can talk about the Bachelor!!
Why is your daughter so dang cute. I am really sad that I didn't get to see her in real life when you were here. The baby monitor didn't fulfill my needs. I remembered a really funny memory the other day and laughed outloud to myself. Remember when we went to drop something off to my brother derek and he pecked you smack on the lips because I said "kiss," (like I usually do to make people feel really awkard) and he totally did. I guess you just had to be there because it was hilarious! That was such a Grace story.
Miss you!
How cute is that picture of Ellie as an angel? AND I swear you put a wig on that girl.... Do you realize how lucky you are? My poor girls will be bald till they are 3!
Hey Michelle! I love your blog. And guess what? Ellie and I have the same birthday! I know pretty much every comment on your blog must say this, but she is such a cutie. I'm so glad I'm your v.t.
She is so cute I can hardly stand it! I can't wait to see you guys again (hopefully soon!)
We can't believe how grown up Ellie looks! The last time we saw her was at Dave Merrill's wedding. We would love to get together with you soon before we move to AZ in April. Let us know when you have a free weekend.
Megan and Neil
I have to admit I look like a babe in the group picture with our stockings. Haha. I want you all to come back soon!!
