4 Months

Ellie is going to be 4 months old on Saturday! I can't believe 4 months have already passed. She is mostly a very fun, happy baby. However, today was not one of those days. She has not been sleeping very well anymore which is a major bummer. She is not a good napper and rarely ever sleeps longer than an hour. I have to put her down at the right time or else it is a huge struggle to get her to fall asleep. Today I put her down for her last nap of the day, but she woke up after only 30 minutes. I knew she wasn't ready to get up, but she wouldn't go back to sleep. So, I got her up and let her hang out for about 10 minutes before I tried to put her back to sleep. Needless to say, after an hour of full out screaming and me trying every trick I knew, she finally fell asleep in my arms. I almost lost it right before she gave in and went to sleep. Why is it so hard for her to nap? Any suggestions for me? I'm dying for help!!

Well, here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks...

023 My little pink gangsta. She looks intimidating huh?

030 This is Ellie and her boyfriend, Bryce. He lives two doors down from us. He has a twin sister too! He was putting the moves on her by trying to put his arm around her. She just looks confused. :)

020 I love this picture! She looks constipated, but it was taken right before she started crying. She has a different constipated look. :)

Michelle she is so yummy! About the sleeping, sometimes you just gotta let them cry. At this point she is probably having 3 naps a day right? i think it is so important to keep them on a schedule. It benefits both you and baby. I dont what to tell you what to do, but you did kind of ask:)

The swing was my saving grace!! Nona would always sleep in the swing or driving in the car!! I also got to the point where I played a certain CD of sleepy music and she would go to sleep. We still use that same CD for naps and bedtime!!

She is so so so cute! I love how her and Sharlie have the same clothes! I love the brown with the pink polka dots! okay my favorite is the picture right before she starts crying! So funny! Don't you just love being a mom! Ok I REALLY hope Sharlie keeps up with her sleep schedule. We'll see what happens! If she doesn't hopefully by then you've got it figured out and I can just ask you for advice! :)

Michelle - This is Lindsay from APX. Greg and I had a talk recently about how he never lets me know about the major events in his life (you being pregnant, his birthday, etc) and how that makes being his boss difficult. I told him that I was going to talk to you about it so this is me making good on my promise. Here's my offer: you let me know about things in his life that I need to know about (times you need him home, things we need to celebrate at work, etc) and I'll make sure that the things that need to happen do. You can post on my blog, email me, or call me (3779111) and I'll make things happen. Deal?

Joshie was the worst sleeper forever. I thought i was going to go crazy after a few months of him only taking two 30 minute naps, but he is a great napper now. Still working on the night-time thing. I swear, if babies would sleep it would take 90% of the difficulty out of parenting. They only get away with it b/c they are so dang cute.

Those pictures are so cute!! I love them! That is such a bummer that she isn't sleeping well. I think I would die if my kids didn't take good naps. I wonder if she could be teething. I know Chase didn't sleep well unless he was on his side. Sometimes babies have funny quirks, so maybe you should try a few different things with her. Good luck!

Oh goodness gracious I love Ellie! She is just so so scrumptious and adorable! And by the way I seriously love her banana costume! Haha and the constipated picture literally made me laugh for literally ten minutes and tear from laughing. LITERALLY! And whenever I babysit for youngins that flip when I am trying to put them to bed, I play hymns on a CD and rock them and sing all at the same time. :D
