I have A LOT to blog about, but of course my computer is not cooperating, so here is a picture to get you excited about what is to come.
Seriously, can you get any cuter??!!
Lots of updates to come if I can ever get my computer working...

That's right, little Miss Macy is 5 months old today! She has been such a good baby. She loves to smile and will for anyone she sees, which is totally different than Ellie was/is. :) She rolls over from front to back, but doesn't do it all of the time. She recently has started to like to play with toys, which makes me happy because it is something to keep her busy. She bears weight like a champ, which again is totally different than Ellie was. :) I love her so much and can't get enough of her. (I would love her even more if she could be consistent at night!) Anyway, I took some pictures of her today in the same outfit I put Ellie in when she was 5 months old and took a picture in the same spot. (I know I'm a nerd.) I love it because they are totally different, but still look like sisters. Macy was not as chubby and she is definitely lighter (as in color) than Ellie. She is my blue-eyed beauty!
Ellie is the first picture and the rest are of Macy.
And I have to throw in a picture of Ellie because a miracle happened...she actually smiled for the camera!!
I love Halloween! It is my older brother's birthday, so growing up my mom always through a Halloween bash for him/for all of us kids! Thanks Wes! :) I feel like I have to keep the tradition alive and make Halloween fun for my kids. Even though I didn't come CLOSE to making as great a party as my mom always did, I still had a great time and I think my little girls did too.
First, we got invited to a friend's party on Friday night. Ellie is of course Snow White and Macy was a banana for that night because my awesome/talented friend, Ashley, was making her costume. Ellie was a banana when she was Macy's age and I had to post their pictures side by side to see if you think they look alike. Macy is on the left, Ellie on the right.
I guess it is kind of hard to tell in the banana suit. :)
P.S. Ellie is the worst at taking pictures! Seriously, as soon as I pull out the camera she purposefully looks away! How rude! :)
Then on Saturday some family and friends came over for a little get together before we took the kids out trick-or-treating. This time Macy was a mermaid. How cute is this costume?! Ashley seriously whipped up this little number the night before. She is A-MAZING!! She didn't even have a pattern.
It had been raining on Saturday so I was worried that it would ruin our trick-or-treating plans, but luckily it stopped right before we left. It was still COLD, but the kids were brave and we had a lot of fun! Macy only lasted one house and then Greg took her back home. At first I thought he was being a great dad looking out for his little girl, but I'm pretty sure he really wanted to get back to watch some football. :) He still is a great dad. :)
Anyway, we had a great Halloween and I can't wait for next year!
I have to show this picture of Macy because I think it is cute. She was loving Marie. :)
Macy is going to be 3 months next week! I seriously cannot believe that. Where did the last 3 months go?? My awesome friend, Heather, offered to take some cute pictures of sweet little Macy. I love them! Thanks again Heather!!
I took Macy to her 2 month appointment last week and her were her stats...
Length: 24 1/4" - 95%
Weight: 11 lbs. 6 oz. - 50%
Head: 39.2 cm - 50%
She is such a sweet baby and I'm so grateful for that. As most of you know, I have a pretty demanding 2 year old. :) Macy is pretty patient (as far as a little baby goes) and will usually just hang out while I am taking care of/dealing with Ellie. Greg is back in school now so he is gone a lot at night, so it helps out a ton that Macy is pretty chill. We love her and are so grateful she is a part of our family!
My fabulous neighbor, Shannon(shannonhaddenphotography.blogspot.com), took Ellie’s 2 year pictures and Macy’s 2 week pictures for us. I LOVE how they turned out. Here are just a few of my favorites.
This picture below cracks me up. We tried really hard to get a picture of the two of them together. That is not an easy task with Ellie. She doesn’t mind having Macy around, but she doesn’t want to ever touch her and definitely doesn’t want to take pictures with her. Ellie looks like she is loving her little sister, but in reality she is smelling the flower on her headband. She was gone from this pose as soon as she finished smelling it. This is really the only shot we got of the two of the together. Next time…hopefully. :)
Thanks Shannon for taking such fabulous pictures!!
Well it has been a week since Macy joined our family. So far things are going really great. We are just adjusting to having a new baby in our house and trying to get Ellie to like her little sister. :) Here are some pictures from the last week.
Ellie not wanting to be next to Macy.
My dad and Dawn made this beautiful cradle for us. I absolutely love it and love that all my babies will get to sleep in this.
Anyway, sorry for the picture overload, but Macy changes so much everyday!
Ellie turned TWO on Friday!! I can’t believe that my little girl is two! She all of the sudden seems huge to me (maybe because Macy is so little?). Here are some pictures from her birthday. We celebrated on the 7th since I knew I would be in the hospital for her actual birthday.
This girl definitely likes to be clean. We tried to get her to dig in to her cupcake, but she would only use her one finger.
I hate this picture because I look ENORMOUS (it was 2 days before I delivered okay), but I had to get a family pic with her new bike that we bought for her birthday.
Here are pictures from her actual birthday. I love these pictures because Greg did Ellie’s hair since I was in the hospital. I don’t think I need to say any more. Bless his heart…
We love you Ellie girl!
