I love Halloween! It is my older brother's birthday, so growing up my mom always through a Halloween bash for him/for all of us kids! Thanks Wes! :) I feel like I have to keep the tradition alive and make Halloween fun for my kids. Even though I didn't come CLOSE to making as great a party as my mom always did, I still had a great time and I think my little girls did too.
First, we got invited to a friend's party on Friday night. Ellie is of course Snow White and Macy was a banana for that night because my awesome/talented friend, Ashley, was making her costume. Ellie was a banana when she was Macy's age and I had to post their pictures side by side to see if you think they look alike. Macy is on the left, Ellie on the right.
I guess it is kind of hard to tell in the banana suit. :)
P.S. Ellie is the worst at taking pictures! Seriously, as soon as I pull out the camera she purposefully looks away! How rude! :)
Then on Saturday some family and friends came over for a little get together before we took the kids out trick-or-treating. This time Macy was a mermaid. How cute is this costume?! Ashley seriously whipped up this little number the night before. She is A-MAZING!! She didn't even have a pattern.
It had been raining on Saturday so I was worried that it would ruin our trick-or-treating plans, but luckily it stopped right before we left. It was still COLD, but the kids were brave and we had a lot of fun! Macy only lasted one house and then Greg took her back home. At first I thought he was being a great dad looking out for his little girl, but I'm pretty sure he really wanted to get back to watch some football. :) He still is a great dad. :)
Anyway, we had a great Halloween and I can't wait for next year!
I have to show this picture of Macy because I think it is cute. She was loving Marie. :)
